The Numbers Don't Lie - Its a Seller's Market (At least in the Mat-Su Valley)!
The number of active homes for sale remains low and the number of pending sales (demand) is steady. It was interesting that New Construction homes are about 1/3 of the homes for sale making the shortage of resale homes clear. Check out the chart below and any thoughts would be appreciated.
Anchorage & Eagle River are a different story with supply and demand virtually unchanged from last year. Now, this doesn't mean it isn't a good time to buy a home. Mortgage rates and affordability remain historically great. You just need to be ready when that perfect home hits the market.
